How to Brew the Perfect Cup of Dark Roast Coffee
At PC Coffee and Art, our small-batch dark roast brings out bold, smoky, and chocolatey notes that coffee lovers crave. Here’s how to brew it at home.
1. Fresh Beans Matter
Grind your beans right before brewing for maximum flavor.
- French Press → coarse grind
- Pour Over → medium grind
- Espresso → fine grind
Store beans in an airtight container away from light and moisture.
2. Coffee-to-Water Ratio
Use 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water. For a stronger cup, add a little more. Always use filtered water for a clean taste.
3. Brewing Methods
- French Press: Full-bodied, bold
- Pour Over: Smooth, clean finish
- Espresso: Rich, crema-topped
- Drip Maker: Convenient, consistent.
4. Brew Time
- French Press: 4–5 min
- Pour Over: 3–4 min
- Espresso: 25–30 sec.
5. Enjoy & Experiment
Taste notes: dark chocolate, smoky caramel, roasted nuts. Try it black, with cream, iced, or paired with desserts.
